Collaborations

Imaging / Theranostics resources for collaborators

  • In vivo multimodal imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT) or single-modality imaging. Applications include, but are not limited to, CT volumetry, in vivo biodistribution, validating target expression, monitoring response to treatment
  • Ex vivo biodistribution studies
  • Autoradiography
  • Data reconstruction and analysis
  • Temporary on-site mouse housing in isolated ventilated cages (e.g., for longitudinal studies)
  • Theranostics
  • Our medical physicists ensure safe procedures and compliance to radioprotection rules. The radiotracers are produced in-house in the Department of Radiochemistry and thus available on-site

Our instruments

Small animal imaging: We use one of the newest commercially available preclinical PET, SPECT, and CT scanners, the Molecubes β-Cube (PET), γ-Cube (SPECT) and X-Cube (CT), specifically designed for rodent imaging. The scanners offer high resolution (spatial resolution: CT, 0.05 mm, PET, 0.85 mm, SPECT, 0.5 mm) and throughput (up to 4 mice per scan) imaging. PMOD (PFUS, PBAS, PKIN, PCARD) and Vivoquant are available for data analysis.

Ex vivo analyses: For quantification and localization of radioligand enrichment, autoradiography (BetaIMAGER) and gamma counting (Wizard 2480) are available.

Our collaborations

Our broad scientific portfolio is reflected by several internal and external collaborations. Since 2018, we established collaborations with various departments ranging from in vivo nanoparticle studies, oncology research with various tumor models, neurology, cardiology, zoology, and dermatology.
